SHANE CHRISTENSEN, M.D.

FAMILY MEDICINE WITH OBSTETRICS

Dr. Christensen received his medical degree from Saint Louis University after attending Jordan High School and studying chemistry at Utah State University.  Eager to return to Salt Lake City after medical school, he completed Family Practice residency through the University of Utah then joined Foothill Family Clinic.

Family Practice provides great diversity in caring for people and their health.  Dr. Christensen enjoys dealing with a wide variety of health issues:  from acute injuries, chronic diseases, and new illnesses to preventative care.  He finds the aspects of being an obstetrical caregiver, including prenatal visits, delivery, and newborn care, especially rewarding.  In treating his patients, Dr. Christensen tries to consider an individual’s physical and emotional health to achieve optimal outcomes.

When not working, Dr. Christensen enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons.  He is an avid skier and enjoys being outdoors.  There never seems to be enough time to explore all that Utah has to offer.
