Family Practice and Sports Medicine
Dr. Kevin Mangum is a primary care sports medicine and family medicine physician who specializes in both the treatment and prevention of sport medicine and medical related illnesses and injuries. He provides comprehensive medical care for athletes, sports teams and active individuals who want to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Mangum specializes in non-operative orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions in professional, collegiate, high school, elite, every day and weekend warrior athletes.
He received an Associate of Art degree in Accounting from Dixie State University. Later, he transferred to the University of Utah, where he finished his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Following this, he and his brother moved to Portland, Oregon, where they received their Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degrees together. They owned and operated their chiropractic practices jointly before Dr. Mangum decided to attend medical school. He went to medical school at A.T. Still University – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. Next, he completed his family medicine residency at the Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix, Arizona Family Medicine Program. Dr. Mangum fulfilled his primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho and Idaho Sports Medicine Institute. During his fellowship, he was a team physician for local club sport athletes, high school athletes and the division one athletes at Boise State University.
Dr. Mangum was born and raised in southern Utah with his three siblings. He loves spending time with his wife and four children. They enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, soccer, skiing, and vacationing. Dr. Mangum is excited to join Foothill Family Clinic as a sports medicine and family medicine physician. He looks forward to caring for you as well as your friends and family.
