Major Migraine Breakthrough

Foothill Family Clinic’s own Dr. Dan Henry, President of the Danielle Byron Henry Migraine Foundation, is leading the way to deeper understanding and recognition of migraine disorders and treatment options. That work is paying off with the recent announcement from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

The DOE has published new guidelines which formally recognize migraine as a disability under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This news is a breakthrough in solidifying the rights of those students who live with migraine disorders and will help to ensure their equal access to education through necessary accommodations.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Henry and his team, who work diligently every day to improve outcomes for patients living with migraine, on this encouraging step forward.
