A Victory for Students: New DOE Guidelines Recognize Migraine Rights

That work is paying off with the recent announcement from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
The DOE has published new guidelines which formally recognize migraine as a disability under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This news is a breakthrough in solidifying the rights of those students who live with migraine disorders and will help to ensure their equal access to education through necessary accommodations.
